EastHaus are fully open for business with new social distancing measures in place

Following the Government's amended regulations on home moving during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we are pleased to confirm we are now able to conduct physical viewings and market appraisals but with strict social distancing measures in place.

Property Viewings

Firstly, please consider whether you might prefer a video tour rather than a physical appointment.

For physical viewings, all parties involved will be asked prior to the appointment whether they have been experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, if they have, the visit will be postponed.

If you or anyone in your household is clinically vulnerable or shielding, please consult the medical advice and consider whether an appointment should take place or whether it might be better to postpone.

A maximum of two people (from one household) plus a EastHaus staff member can be present at the viewing.

EastHaus will be wearing gloves and face masks for all viewings. Please consider bringing a face mask/ covering with you to the appointment in case it is not possible to remain a minimum of 2m apart during the viewing. Disposable gloves are also available at viewings.

EastHaus will not be shaking hands with any parties.

You will be asked to remove shoes on entering the property.

Antibacterial gel will be provided on arrival and during the visit, antibacterial handwash and disposable paper towels are also available if you would prefer to wash your hands.

Where possible, the occupant of the property will be asked to leave the property for the duration of the viewing and to ensure all doors and windows are open prior to a visit. If an occupant is unable to leave the property then social distancing within the property will be strictly adhered to.

Please do not touch any surfaces inside the property, EastHaus staff will open any doors, cupboards etc where required.

No physical documents will be handed out at the viewing, all documents will be sent electronically via email.

EastHaus will not be able to provide transport to or from the property

Market Appraisals

Please consider whether you might prefer a video call rather than a physical appointment. We completely understand that often it is preferable for agents to see the space and we welcome the opportunity to see your property but if initially a video call might be preferable to limit the number of people you are in contact with, this should be considered.

If you or anyone in your household is clinically vulnerable or shielding, please consult the medical advice and consider whether an appointment should take place or whether it might be better to postpone.

Please open all windows and doors (where possible) for the appointment.

If you would like to remain in the property whilst we look round you will need to keep to social distancing guidelines and where possible try and limit the number of people in your household.

For physical market appraisals, all parties involved will be asked prior to the appointment whether they have been experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, if they have, the visit will be postponed.

No marketing materials or documents are to be handed out, all documents will be sent electronically via email.

Where possible any lengthy discussions about the property, your plans, general queries, etc. should be discussed outside whilst keeping to a minimum 2 metres distance. Agents and owners should seek to maintain a minimum of 2 metres distance from each other wherever possible. Where social distancing is not possible and the visit is within an enclosed space, they should consider wearing a face covering in line with Government guidance.

All parties should wash their hands with soap and water (or hand sanitiser if not available) immediately after entering the properties, with internal doors opened and surfaces having been wiped down before they enter.

Separate towels or paper towels should be used if possible and washed or disposed of safely after use. Please note EastHaus agents will have hand sanitiser available should hand washing not be possible.
