Where to watch the Wimbledon finals 2017 in East London

You don’t need to go all the way to SW19 to enjoy the centre court action of the Wimbledon finals. Strawberries and cream, champagne and Pimms, big screens and rooftop views, these East London venues offer all the atmosphere of Wimbledon and you don’t even have to queue!


Wimbledon on Canalside 

Here East, East Village, Stratford, E20

Canalside are showing live matches on a big outdoor screen alongside which there will be an array of Wimbledon themed food and drink from Four Quarters East, Shane's On Canalside , Gotto Trattoria, Randy's Wing Bar and Mason & Company. 


Wimbledon Gone East

Old Spitalfields Market, E1 

Taking place on Friday July 14th, from 1pm – 9pm, this historic marketplace will be transformed into a ‘Grand Slam-tastic tennis-lovers haven’. As well as a double side big screen with deckchair seating there will also be ‘Wimblefun’ zone with games, entertainment and live music.  There will also be a special night market with refreshments from The Prosecco Box, Pimms and Old Spitalfield’s market’s street food vendors.


Tennis on the terrace 

South Place Hotel, EC2M

Watch the men’s finals on Sunday 16th July in style from the roof terrace of the South Place Hotel. Sit back in your deckchair and watch the action from their super swanky Bang and Olufsen screen. Rain definately won’t stop play here as they even have a fully retractable roof. 


Leadenhall Market, EC1 

This magical marketplace will be screening live matches throughout the week. Monday to Friday screenings will be held outside the Lamb Tavern and Saturday and Sunday’s screenings will be outside Chamberlain’s restaurant.

Another great rooftop venue, transformed into a tennis lovers oasis to show the final on Sunday.

As part of Broadgate’s life meets tech season, not only can you watch all the games on their huge outdoor screen but for finals weekend you can also try your hand, quite literally, at Virtual Reality tennis.


One New Change, St Paul's, EC4M 

Watch all the action from centre court whilst enjoying the beautiful views of St Paul's Cathedral from the roof terrace at One New Change.

The ultimate hipster hangout is screening all the centre court action live rom its upper deck.


Queen of Hoxton, Shoreditch, E1 

This famed East London hangout and its sister bars the Book Club and the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen are not only showing all of the games but are also giving out free strawberries and cream when you buy a jug of Pimms or a ‘Just Deuce’ Wimbledon Cocktail.
